Torture Game - Torture Reality - What Do You Think?

As I scanned the news this morning, which is my habit, I came across two articles that are worlds apart, but yet uncannily similar.  The first link is to an MSNBC article on "The Torture Game 2".  I don't know how many of you are aware of it, and if you're a parent, guardian, aunt, uncle, or just plain moral citizen--I suggest the read and bring yourself up to date on what people have free access to.

Should you take 'Torture' seriously?

Nope, says the young man who developed this controversial Web game

In the second link to another MSNBC article speaks to a situation I was aware of while living in Kenya and glad to see that inroads are being made.  However, it could also be cosmetic.

Kenyan children tell of abductions, torture

Hundreds have been terrorized, first by militias and then the army

In the Mount Elgon region of Kenya, the militia have been around since independence and have ravaged, raped, murdered, killed, and did whatsoever they wanted and the president has done nothing to stop it.  So the president agrees with it.

Pastors are killed simply for being Christian and speaking out against the terrorists in their own country.  You will read the other things that happen to citizens in the article.

The first article, a young man who developed the Torture game says we should not be concerned about it.  After all, its just a game.  But the people who play it give testimony that it is a great "stress reducer".  What happened to jogging, going to the gym, kick boxing, or other forms of exercise!  Clean out the garage--that's a good workout and stress reducer.

My question for you today--should we as moral and social people be concerned about these types of games, and the free access to them by all people, including young teens or younger?

Is it of any concern to people in other countries that citizens are being tortured, especially children?  Or is that an internal problem?

If you believe that it is  global problem for torture, please write to the country president, and more importantly, the United Nations Human Rights Commission

I am really looking forward to your comments.  Remember to keep spammers off this site, your comments are reviewed so we don't all see all the stupid ring tone ads .. but pro or con ... will be posted.  This is a discussion .. not a censored debate.

Blessings,
